more on project 3

The point here is to focus on the non-visual as primary concern, to construct this film around a different sensory experience, but nonetheless to use image and sound to do so. For instance, how do you visually represent the smell of frying bacon? or the scent and texture of old, moth-eaten silk? rotting roadkill? can you get there by through montage and association of images/ sounds? I recommend thinking hard about your use of sound here, but certainly don't abandon image. Use the two in tandem to 'make sense'.

All five senses are essential to our experience of being human, but we are culturally conditioned to think and communicate through primarily visual means. It is a worthy project to explore ways to capture and evoke the broad spectrum of sense through the media of film.
